Over the past two days 700 mostly Chinese students have been receiving phowa instructions and training in phowa practice together with Rinpoche in Kathmandu. On the first day Rinpoche gave an Amitabha empowerment and the transmission and instructions for the phowa practice. Today, on the second day of the program, the auspicious day of the new moon and a solar eclipse, Rinpoche gave two other phowa reading transmissions and most of the participants already showed the signs of successful phowa training.
