Information & Registration
We are delighted that you are coming to Lumbini for these very special events celebrating the inaugural anniversary of the Thousand Buddha Temple in Lumbini—Reciting the Collected Words of the Buddha (in Pali, Chinese, Tibetan, and English) in conjunction with the 45th Annual Fall Seminar with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche: A Presentation of the Three Vehicles: View, Meditation, Conduct, and Fruition. These events will begin on the auspicious day of Lhabab Düchen, November 11th, and conclude on November 17th.
Reciting the Collected Words of the Buddha is a powerful meritorious event, even more so as it will take place in the birthplace of the Buddha, beginning on Lhabab Düchen, the great festival day which honors the return of the Buddha Śākyamuni to our world from the heavenly realms, where he had been giving teachings.
For the first time, the full collection of 84000’s published sutras from the Kangyur will be recited in English, echoing the Buddha’s words across Lumbini.
The Recitation will take place in all of the different languages simultaneously. In addition to Pali, Chinese, Tibetan, and English, participation in the recitation will be made possible for readers of all languages into which the seminar is translated.
There will be three recitation sessions every day until all of the recitation is completed. There will also be a teaching session every day.
On November 18th, 19th, and 20th, as Part 1 of the Annual Tara’s Triple Excellence (TTE) Retreat, Rinpoche will bestow the outer, inner, and secret Tara Empowerments and give teachings. You do not need to be a TTE practitioner to receive these empowerments. The Outer Tara Empowerment is open to everyone. The Inner and Secret Empowerments are for those who are seriously interested in practicing. Please note that Part 2 of the TTE Retreat will be a one-week retreat guided by Drubpon Lama Tenzin Sangpo from November 21-27. If you would like to register for that retreat, please visit: https://stg.dharmasun.org/tte-lumbini-retreat-2025
If you have any questions about the TTE Retreat, please contact [email protected]
The monastery will be offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a tea break during these events, but you are responsible for arranging your own accommodation in Lumbini and your transportation to Lumbini.
This auspicious event is offered without charge. However, if you would like to support it, please visit: https://monlam.org/activity/recitation-of-the-collected-words-of-the-buddha-45-seminar/
The monastery will issue badges to all registered participants.
We encourage you to register as soon as possible! There is ample space for everyone, but your early registration will help us prepare. More detailed information about all of these events is coming soon!
Please read and complete this registration form carefully. Your registration is not complete until you click the “Submit” button at the end of the registration form and receive a confirmation message and email.
